Projects is where you create and manage your book workspaces. Each project contains chapters, components, outline structure, notes, and publishing/export settings.

Create or import

Create New starts a blank project.
Import Book builds chapters from a DOCX/TXT file.
Load Sample creates a practice project you can edit freely.

Full Book Series Features STUDIO

The Full Book Series Features panel (on the Projects page) is for managing a multi-book series: which books belong together, shared series assets (like a series bible and reusable components), and tools to apply/sync those assets across books.

1) Books

Create or select a series: Use the Series dropdown to select an existing series, or use Create series to make a new one.
Add books to the series: Add the current project (or create a new project) and assign a Vol # so your series is ordered correctly.
Open a book quickly: Use the Open button in the Books table to switch your Current Project to that book for editing.

2) Shared Assets

Series Bible: Keep shared canon/constraints here (world rules, characters, timeline, tone rules, audience notes).
Glossary / Terminology: Store preferred spellings and rules (e.g., names, places, tech terms). Use a simple “Term | Preferred spelling | Notes” format.
Reusable Components: Create reusable blocks (front/back matter, series teaser, author note, “Also in this series” block, etc.). These are stored at the series level and can be applied to books from the Apply & Sync tab.

3) Apply & Sync

Select books: Check the books you want to update.
Select components: Choose which shared components to insert into those books.
Apply Now: Inserts the selected components into the selected books. If you check Add inserted components to the build order now, the inserted items are also added to the publish/build sequence automatically.

4) Publishing

“Also in this series” block: This tab generates a ready-to-copy list of your books (with volume numbers if set).
Save as series component: One click saves that generated block into Shared Assets as a reusable component (key: also_in_series), so you can apply it to any book or keep it consistent across all volumes.

Tip: A recommended workflow is: (1) set Vol # for each book, (2) fill out Series Bible + Glossary, (3) create reusable components once, then (4) Apply & Sync whenever you update shared content.

FREE plan note: if your build enforces a single active project limit, archive/delete your current project before creating another.
